Hearing rumors here in Texarkana, that most of Broken Bow lake is closed off!!! Have made a few calls, with no real answers. I did call the Marina, and got a recording that they are closed until May 26th.

Hmm I dunno, haven't heard anything but they have got alot of rain. I know 4th of July 2yrs ago it was flooded bad but still open. I mean there was a couple feet of water over the road at the saddleback and it was still open, alot of camp sites were BAD flooded too.. I hope it's gonna be open because we have our cabin already paid for.

4 of 6 ramps are closed and several camp sites. You can probably get more info at Information@beaversbend.com

I just got off the phone with the people I rented a cabin from, they said most of the Stephen Gap road is under water, and people were canceling cabins. We went ahead and canceled ours.

talked to corp of engineers today and they opened the gates today about 4 inches they said its a day by day deal and it all depends on the rain this weekend but its not looking good for memorial day  the lake has to come down to about 617 before they will open the boat ramps! alot of the locals are considering wright patman lake for the weekend at least that sunday the core said check back either monday or tuesday and they will no for sure about broken bow lake openings the lake elevation is now 627

I'm gonna drive up there one day this weekend maybe and see how it's looking. Maybe the rain will stay away.

I went up there today. Everything is closed pretty much. The water is still a good 20' above normal. Only one gate was open letting water out. I doubt it will drop enough in the next couple of days for them to open it.

if you want cdog yall r welcome to come down to palestine

Thanks. I think we're still just gonna go on up to our cabin and hang out for the weekend. Found out today I'm leaving for Kuwait in about 3 weeks, so just gonna chill out with the family and take it easy. Might be able to hit the water sometime before I leave.
