So the ramp is just there off 35, before getting into Bay City?

That is correct,  on west side of river,  access from both sides of hwy 35,
HWY 35 is a four lane hwy

I have two ideas first is at the bridge,  do similar as Coolglastron,  the second and would like to have in put here..

Is,  we have a City Park that is on 35hwy west of the river that i can get a pavilion and have everyone meet here and eat,  then go to the river which is just east of the Park...
I'm leaning toward the second idea....?

Just depends on how much you gonna put into putting a meal together? If it was gonna be snack type stuff, I'd say do it on the sandbar with a couple small grilles. If you were talking about something more like the last sandbar bash, the pavilion may be way to go. They have a pit there you can use?

How far away do you live from there, in case things need to be taken back home? (leftovers, supplies, etc.) Just things to think about...

Depending on the turnout, my first plan is to cook, and use the Park for the place to meet and eat,  for every thing needed is at the pavilion, and any left overs can be iced down, and kept in coolers....
If turnout is low then Sausage raps at the sandbar

Its early to iron down exactly what i'm going to do, but this is the two ideas i'm working on

Sounds like you got it under control either way. Like you mention, its still pretty early to make a solid decision, but it always helps to kick it around. I've got a small gas grill I can bring if it looks like a sandbar cookout. Runs on one of those little cylinders like for a propane lantern. I cooked a link of sausage on it here in the scalehouse yesterday, matter of fact....
