Apparently the LCRA (Lower Colorado River Authority) because of last years drought problems is looking to limit or STOP the pumping out of the water in the Colorado for Rice Farmers this year, and they are not too happy about it.  Check the News Story for info.  Not sure if this will affect boating at Altair or South of Altair (Kona's area) but maybe....

I noticed that Lake Travis (on the Colorado River) is still 50 feet low!  I guess Somerville just got lucky with the rains for the past 30 days, went from -10.5ft to only -3.2 feet as of last night Midnight.

Good for us, but it is important for the farmers to get water for crops also.  I hope they can regulate the water where everyone can benefit.
