I have the silver edition without the remote and it takes fantastic videos but I haven't had a chance to use it on the boat yet

The reviews I saw and comparison videos were quite dramatically better than the other Go Pro's.....

its a great camera, much better than the hero 2, people complaining are just electronic ignorant, I make videos with it all the time.
