RH, though I look fondly of my prior military career, dress inspections are something that gives me the heebie jeebies...... Lol.

For me it was a "I have not overlooked anything and I dare you to find something wrong" kind of thing. The only thing I didnt like was the DRESS RIGHT DRESS and holding your arm out while someone that was clueless called the commands. They usually had us out there too long and that gave a wavy look to the formation when everyone got tired!!

What got me were the UCIs and NSIs (Unit Compliance Inspections and Nuclear Security Inspections)

I was in Civil Engineering and Red Horse in the Air Force. We built stuff.

Sounds like a cool job. Your boat should never leave you stranded!!!

We build runways, buildings, tents, foward operating bases, SWA huts, what ever they wanted. And when we were back home we maintained the base and did minor construction. Oh and drank a beer every so often...
