It is a jet , belongs to MikeVdrive's cousin or something like that . Saw it at the Winter Nats on the San Jac , awesome ride . Didn't catch the name of the owner though .

What kind of speeds are you seeing in that boat ? I am not really the person to advise you on your  boat or setup , but there are some really sharp guys around here that will help you figure it out .

did you drive both of them tom?
Just lurking and saw I missed this post  , Never Drove the "Badlands" Howard hydro it was Driven by a fireman from LA named Matt Culbert ,I just bought it and rebuilt it cause I couldn't resist owning it (a piece of history) for a while ,In its day it Ran 170+ (Blown Alcohol ) ,It was around about the same era as Proud Mary and Crucifier Tha Black boat I built from a bare hull and drove it a couple seasons of and on as my "Demo"

The Picture was BTW at Firebird lake and when it "set down" it blew out the left sponson but made it to the pits :)

Ya! it's my cousin. The boat has one fin right about the drivers feet,(drivers side) when we had it at the winter Nat's. we told Keith and a few people the boat was cavitating up and down pretty hard at hi speeds, so Keith said it had to much wedge in it. So we took the 4 deg. out and ran it with no wedge, know the boat go's from up and down, to know side to side, and it's kinda scary  :smile20: so with it only having one fin we was just trying to see if one was missing. or if that's how it needs to be or if maybe the ride plate may be off or something.
