New to THB from the southeast. Many of you have probably seen me on the san jac. Recently started going to the trinity river since it is closer to home, but was told yesterday that "my type" of boat is not welcome on their river  crazy.gif

hello from the southeast!

Somebody told me once there's a warden got a hair up his arse about jet boats. We should go out there '' en masse '' and really give him something to squeal about !!

yep ... who was it said they didn't want them kind of boats there?

Wondering that myself... Public waterway I'd think it shouldn't matter what kinda boat it is. And as long as you have all your legalities covered, there ain't a damn thing they could say about it. Law dog or not...

Ive been going out there for 4 or 5 weekends and have yet to see one law man. The ones who said that my kind of boat is not welcome here was about 10-15 'locals' from mount belvieu.

We know quite a few of the people out there, and alot love the boat, but theres a small crowd of people with their jon boats that dont care for it.

Boat is 100% legal. I wish the warden would have been out there. Their reason for it not welcome was the boat "attracts too much attention" and is not wanted out there. IMO just a bunch of idiots looking for something to get in a fight about something that is different.

I actually went back out there later (5:00) the next day (Sunday) but it was just a bunch of people that i knew so we chatted for a while.

Will be going to the San Jac today though.

And the boat is junk. But its got a  427 side oiler (FE) that runs good.

If any of you were at the san jac about 8 years ago you might remember the boat... especially since there is not too many with a side oiler in them.
