Just got a phone call from a customer (that I had 12,000 feet of manufactured stone made for his hospital) to tell me that the owners changed their mind on color and pattern! Now we have 12,000 feet of stone no one wants! They don't feel they should be obligated to buy it! Seriously people! This ain't Burger King nor WalMart. I can not believe they have the audacity to wait until the whole job is ready to ship and then change their minds! It's only been a month. I think I know why this country is in the shape that it is in. I was taught to own up to my mistakes, or at least make them right if I'm at fault!  :smile15: :smile15: :smile15: :smile15: :smile15: :smile15:

Damn that sucks they should pay for it or make them pay a huge restocking fee to cover the cost of the discounts you will have to give to get rid of all that stone.

THAT SUCKS!!!! That is why I get a big azz (non refundable) deposit and a signed work order before I start on anything. I am not paying for other people poor judgement anymore. The days of people honoring their word and handshake deals are pretty much gone now. Like Ed said we live in different times now.

Thats a fukked up deal for sure. Hate to hear they pull that on ya'll Steve. Surely they can't just bail on ya like that with no repercussions?

Almost sounds like they are trying to put the screws to you in order to get a better deal. Seen that chit before.

There is a large percentage of people these days that there are no words for, just leaves me shaking my head. Well, there are words for them, but not worth the trouble or bandwidth to type them out here, lol...

HEll  I would just tell em OK and when the they get the bill for the new 12000 ft of stone just tell em shoulda took the first order cause there was a huge price increase because of demand! :grin:

Wow! Talk about a miracle. The plant called and said they have it all sold to another job, and need what I have here! So all my customer is out is the cost of freight! Still not sure how that just happened, but I aint complaining! :smile16:

We have that happen off and on with the Plunger pumps we make for Fracking. Customer will cancell order in mid stream and we allow them to do it. They say it is good customer relations. Glad it all worked out for ya.

Glad that it ended up workin out for ya, good news for sure. So what are you gonna order for the hospital guy next. Maybe they like to have a nice fountain? :grin:
