Is there any place locally that i can get the teflon seals for my place diverter nozzle?

Is it possible that my pump (see pic below) is so worn out that it will just keep blowing this seal out?

I guess that is possible-it does look worn. Call Tom at Jetboat Performance he can have you some new seals in a day or two!  :smile17:

The socket in the bowl will wear just like a droop, you can make stops with 1/4" capscrews to keep it from turning far enough to blow that seal out. You will push it out again and again if you dont do something to correct the problem. KDUB

Like said above create your steering stops to limit the radius like we talked yesterday BTW talked to your Bride today assured her your seals should be there tommorow , Check the little gay pink arrows I put on your pick maybe drill and tap there for some 1/4 20 stainless allen heads more pics of ours if ya need them Bud Tom

Thanks Tom!!! Your customer service is really OVER THE TOP!!!

As far as the steering stops go, should the allen head screws hit each other to form the stop, or should they just pass by each other and contact the actual bowl and nozzle respectively? I gues a pic would really help to ensure i dont f this up.

Where Tom put the pink arrow on the nozzle, drill, tap, and install bolt so that the bolt head itself hits the portion on the bowl where the other pink arrow is and limits the turn radius just enough to not expose the seal. But dont limit the travel too much or you will lose a good deal of your steering capability, potentially causing you to get into a bad situation, you want to check this in a safe wide open area away from any objects or people before you go to a crowded lake with a boat load of people :smile20:

well i put the new seal on as well as adding the steering stops, and it still blew the seal out in an afternoon at the lake. After speaking with tom at JBP i have determined (actually Tom did) that i have an older style place diverter which takes a smaller seal (i think he said it was from a Jet-o-vator) than current models. In my industry I work with various machine shops regularly and have a very good relationship with one in particular. I think i am going to have the nozzle machined to accept the larger seal from the more up-to-date place diverter seal. My thinking here is that the larger seal will take up more of the slop in my old worn-out bowl than the ones that currently fit correctly. My only other option is to coat the inside of the bowl where it is worn out with some sort of epoxy or filler that will bond to the aluminium and then sand and shape it back to an "as new" bowl.

Any thoughts???
