Snakes on the Brazos?

Did y'all see this?  Is this common on Whitney?  We've all seen snakes occasionally by the water but this is a bit nuts!

Sorry for the repost.  I just saw it somewhere else and it freaked me out because me and the kids were up there last summer and loved the lake.  Reportedly the Rangers said it's nothing to worry about, really?
