I know the Joe Pool event is the same day , but we are thinking of going to Steel Creek to run Galen's Hydro for some test runs .. Just think it would be a better place for testing than at Joe Pool lake .. The water condition are better at the river and you can read the water better there .. Just putting it out there , if not we will wait until Spring to test ..
Let me know if anyone may want to go to the River on Friday or Saturday , Text me or call me and let me know so we can decide ..

I would go but that is the one weekend I have a prior commitment to attend something else. I am going to be looking for somewhere to go the following weekend though.

I would certainly like to see you and Galen, but there should be a nice turn out at Joe Pool.
I went to Loyd Park Tuesday and took mine out.  It has a good ramp and looks like a nice place.
Hope to see you.

Why wait??? Get out there shake it down then you'll have all winter to make adjustments.

we wanted to get 6-7 of us to go to make it worth it for Galen to drive 12 hours one way to get here .. More boats more fun .. Do not want to test at Joe Pool .. I want to know the water and surroundings for Galen for testing ..

We wanted to do that exactly Stacy , to get some test runs in and be ready for spring .. But I am sure Galen got it all good.. Engine was on the dyno and JJ changed the gears so it should be ready to go , just testing the new water system really ..

Glad to hear you may go to Joe Pool.
This time of year is always iffy when it come to planning boating get-togethers and I'm
sure Galen would like to get his boat out.
Would he consider the following week-end at steel Creek, depending on the weather?

Drained it, backed it in the garage and pulled the rocker arms. It seems like everything this year said wait. Now back to concentrating on Billys engine.

Sure would have liked to see you, but I understand.
I can't tell you what the weather will be like in a couple of weeks, but where we are in Texas, the warm weather typically last about a month longer than Kansas.
This time of year is always iffy though.  We can be upper 90's one day and mid 60's a few days later.
Many of us didn't get out as much this year as in previous years, It's been odd.
I can't speak for others, but when the lakes and rivers are very low, there isn't much incentive to get excited.
Hopefully next year there will be water in the lakes and rivers to play on.

I was waiting to see what kind of numbers you could post up this time. I understand I'm still fixing my basement from the flood we came home to Labor day weekend. Take care and keep in touch for next year.
