Not sure JJ .  They have not shipped my carb back to me yet .. It is in Florida..

If I get the Carb back , I will be there with the boat for some tuning and a wide open pass .. They told me a two day turn around and it already been a week , so I bet it will not make it in time ..

Let me know when . I might drive down to visit

The 1250 is sitting on the engine right now , but I would have to drain the tank and put some good fuel in it .. You think it would run on Av Gas ?  It is tempting to open Galen new Drum of C-114 that is sitting here , but I won't .. That for his engine ..

I am hoping my  Carb makes it in time . The tanks are full of E-85 right now ..

yeah is a 1250 marine Carb .. It the one you sold me last year .. You had the two 1150 sold and only had the 1250 left and I bought it ..

Remenber you tried to get an E-85 kit  from Quick Fuel for it and they did not have one for a 1250 ..

I better not try and run it on Av Gas , you know me . It hard for me not to stand on it ..I gotten about 45-50 minutes so far not getting on it hard , so it should be broke in now .. It time to stand on it for a test run ..

last week E-85 was 3.35 a gallon , but since gas has came down , E-85 should be cheaper also .. It will alway be cheaper than gas ..

If your engine does not have enough compression , then it not worth it , but like mine at 13.5 to 1 , then it worth it ..

I paid a lot more than that for the 1050 BLP E-85 carb that I got ,  than you can get both of those for .. But the regular 4150 style are not not bad on price , check Quick Fuel on their E-85 carbs .. Look like about 700 for a E-85 carb on Summit

I will probably be there if everyone is going.  It would still be without a boat.  I am getting slower and every projects gets bigger as I progress.  It is like the two-step, one step forward and two steps back.

so seeinghow mine is only 9-1 i should keep running 93?

Randall : If you only have 9 to 1 compression . i would run 87 or 89 octane .. The higher the octaine , the harder it is to burn .

I can understand that Jim . I sure was hoping to test mine this weekend with the E-85 Carb and get it dialed in .. Hell I might have to bring my Old Ski Boat and go cruise the lake .. It old and I think it will start this year .. 1975 Ski Nautique

Just heard from BLP the Carb people , the carb is going out the door today . So it will not make it . I am not paying for overnight shipping ..

Oh well save the fuel for the next trip ..

Might just go out on Granbury in the Ski Boat ..
