I would like to comment on some recent activity! I have really enjoyed being on this board, and all the great people I have met through this site. I realize that a deal occurred lately, that did not go as planned. This is an unfortunate event. I don't know everyone involved, and hopefully they will read this post and see it from my eyes! I see damaging statements and tensions rising all around. This board is a meeting place for friendsnot a courtroom to argue a case! I don't think the recent activity is what Cookieman had in mind for this board! And I believe the recent posts would not help with his recovery process! In the name of us (not involved) in this transaction, please handle your affairs over the phone or in person. We are all going to pay for this if it is not put to rest here. I look forward to the future of this site, but this cancer must go away. Thanks for taking a minute of your time to understand my point of view!

i think this happens about this time every year.. last year it was over dad and some others and now this.. but i agree.... call the person or go see them.. we dont care about who said what or did what.. yes it does make the day faster when someone is on here talking trash.. but find other ways to do this..

well-you guys and gals all know or most of you know that i'm a stand up guy. and i've been warned not to comment-so if i get banned its your fault! haha! And if you look around -I don't see any of those comments anywhere on the board. I was thanked for the lead on the deal...but when the real deal was disclosed and i finally got a phone call -there was no thanks...just a good cussing and a F--k You from the seller. People get real brave on the phone. So being obvious that a good ol f--kn was what we were gettin with no restitution or remorse. I would NEVER treat anyone this way.And a F--k you is an answer I can't live with. I will say this-if i had sent a turn key motor to Houston and it turned out to be...NOT so turnkey-first of all-I would have MADE IT RIGHT or I would be blasted off this board. Most of you ...i look forward to meeting and seeing at the lake somewhere-Others...not so much. Hope you guys and gals dont get banned for continuing to wave thru the smoke screen that was put up. I'll take ya'lls advise-i'll handle this in person.  :smile30:

well this is what i think.. scott  look forward to meeting you aswell.. i dont know what the deal was and not sure what went down.. i do know however the issue inhand i have seen this boat at the river all summer long and i was there when it was taking out of the water for the last run of the season.. never knew there was anything wrong with the motor.. it was always a strong and running motor.. so thats all i have to say.. but you have to take the good with the bad on here.. and if it was a bad deal then someone, whoever, and not just in the case but future deals need to make it right or do something.. i hope no one on here gets banned from here on out on this dead horse. the boards are not the same without some of the peeps on here.. so please everyone just get along... i am sure a day at spd spa could help a few of you out.. go get your hair did.... bwhahaha

I am not involved and dont know the partys involved, but if you sell a motor turn-key and it truns out to be not so turn key (not saying the seller knew it was bad everone knows a motor can go south and no one knows and till it flys apart) FU is the wrong respones, and it was sold on the boards and if the seller wont talk to the buyer then the boards are the only place to get it out in the open but I also cant see why it had to go that far. Sorry I'm out now and I you ban Tintman from the boards ban me to that aint right

Ok, I guess it is time for me to step in and explain Where I stand on matters like this. The reason I don't like the negativity on the site is to keep the libility down fo rthe site. Guys and girls I have seen one owner of a site almost lose his site over some simular matters. Think about for a minute .... would you take out an ad in your local or national noewspaper slamming someone. I don't think so.... for then you might be subject to a lawsuit. The best thing to do is keep out of the publics eyes. It will only create division among the group. Yes I did make the site for a meeting place for people with a common interest. I know it may not be right but don't express you opinions on am open forum. You can PM members and express how you feel about a matter and let others form their own mind up on the what has Taken place. I would only hope that the members on this board would think about what is right and do the right thing so solve matters like this. I beg everyone to please do the right thing........ and if we don't have this site, I guess we wouldn't know what was done right or wrong. I guess what I am trying to say is keep between involved parties and if that doesn't work ......... Take it to Judge Judy.  I would like to say we have dealt with matters like this before and things have always work out and the right thing was done.  Gotta go it is time for meds. It may be a boat anchor or a gem I really don't know. It is yours for the taking and I can try to get some more info! :smile30:

I would agree with Bill on this . I had a situation a few years back and I sure wanted to post it on here , but I decided to deal with it one on one with the person . Trust me, I sure wanted to post it on here .. This site is great for keeping up with what everyone is doing and where everyone is meeting for the weekend . I sure would  hate to loose this  place because of some deal that went bad . It is sad that deals goes bad from time to time , but try and deal with them direct or through legal channels and not on the boards here .

Summer is coming and hopefully we can all meet up at the River or Lakes and have some good times .

Thanks Patch-its not your place to make good on this deal.I do appreciate the offer. I know there are some really good peeps on here-that why i call this my homesite. I've looked forward (for 2 years as i built my boat) to meeting you guys and gals and having a good time at the lake. I'm protective over my friends and thats what this is all about. Seeing a friends hopes of dropping a turn key engine into his boat dashed -also knowing he's a single parent and a working man that $3000 doesn't come easy! I also see cookiemans position as he has built something special here and doesnt need jackasses screwing it up. Thats wasn't my intentions at all. So to him i apologize. And i also will take his advice on seeing Judge Judy. Its a shame its gotta go there but it is what it is.  :smile30: Google is a wonderful thing!

Well I feel this will all pass. I would like to thank Bill and his appointed admins for there hard work! They are trying hard to stay out of the light and I feel for them. But if they get hung out to dry and quite, who will take their place? I only offer the parts to help out another member of the board, it has nothing to do with wrong or right! I will help any of you to the best of my ability. I understand the situation and I would like to help out a fellow boater! Any way I am ready for Bay City bash, I hope Bay City is ready for Texas Hot Boaters! :evil:

i think we should all drop it and let the ones involved handle thier own crap.. its no one place to make it into something its not or it is.. let the seller and buyer handle thier own.. and to bill i love this site. thanks for a wonderful job on building something that we call can get on here and talk to friends and have a good time.... as far as the bay city deal.. i think EVERYONE should leave this issue at home and not bring it on the water. this is a friend of mine sons b-day and a boating bash.. no need to have a bunch of drama on a river.. not only that but for the site ( thb) we should not want trouble with our names on it..  but kona i am ready to come see your river and tell ryan i have his gift... see you guys and gals soon...
