Thx fellas.  It's been fun.  I still have some cosmetic things to do.  At this point I can a least stick a spork in it.  It's not quite full fledged fork in it done but it's close.

Did you paint the boat? It looks great! clap.gif

He stripped that orange paint & revealed the original blue band underneath. Don't recall if he had to do anything to the white part other than maybe polish it out some...

And added that swim step, among other things.

I have been wondering about the cruiser. He better get it back on the water soon, sweater vest liable to be a little uncomfortable in the middle of summer, lol...

Kenny got it right.  All I did for paint is strip the orange off.  The white on the bottom polished out really nicely.  The white on the top of the deck is a little thin and not as shiny as new but it is original and looks good enough for what the boat it.  I think the new rub rail made a big difference in the appearance as well.

So the list is like this:
new fuel tanks
strip paint
Pontiac vinyl
TX numbers
floor
seat frames
cup holder behind rear seat
rub rail
gauges
gauge bezels
steering wheel
reverse cable
carpet
swim steps
headers
rebuilt pump
engine block
carb
fuel pump
paint trailer
LEDs on trailer
Many other small details

Whats left:
Swap pump with cruiser
replace carpet again (Color change from black to blue)
Clean up wiring
replace rubber lines with braided or at the very least press lock rubber.  I actually kinda like the black lines on this boat I just hate the hose clamps.

With vacation, case of shingles, a minor surgery, and the Rebel engine behind me the cruiser takes priority now.  Hopefully I can get some work done on it in the next week or two.  If the wind keeps up around here I may spend this holiday weekend working on it instead of at the lake.

Now it's fixed.  You already know why the trailer is black.  LOL.

Hahahaha....that's hilarious!

You keep it up and I'll have to paint over that close to but not really FORD blue gel I worked so hard to uncover.  LOL.

Dang, I have to keep fixing this stuff for ya man!  crazy.gif

That explains why I can't get any more MPH out of it.  That color is too close to Ford blue in the color spectrum.

Now it is fixed.  Due to Cliff's inability to see that most blue's are in fact not Ford blue, I decided to change to color of the Rebel.  I ran down to OfficeMax and bought a 6 pack of Avery Green Hi-liters.  The new green metal flake steering wheel will be ordered soon from Speedway as well.

(I really photo shopped it.  It does look pretty pimp in green though.)

Yeah, cause if it were exactly spot on Ford blue, well that's worth 25 horsepower. Being that's it's a little off is a 10 horsepower penalty.. LOL

That thing looks great now. Boat and trailer.
