Trash in pump!

Last night I crawled under the boat to look at the intake grate. Boy was I suprised, found a white plastic bag wrapped around the pump shaft. Don't know how long it has been there, but from the feel of the plastic, a long time would be a safe assumption. I think I might look in there a little more often now! :shocked:

Lakes are bad about having plastic bags floating in the water,  one year were out on Somerville at night and we were in  tims bay boat and pick up one around the lower unit and over heated the engine, alittle... not good out there all alone

Decided to pull my pump down last night. Man I'm glad I did, impeller and wear ring are mating. So I'm glad to break up that love connection before it got real ugly! Hell I might hit 55 now! :smile30:

I don't know what y'all are worried about speed for, you both have the boat version of the family truckster.  Kind of hard to reach top end when you have a boat full of beer, people, food, camping supplies, chairs, beer, and who knows what else. :smile26: lol j/k  I'm glad someone has the room for it!  :smile30:  No, me no see your boat, next time you get bigger boat!  :smile27:

You are prob running dual carb thou..

His is for a dual carb, but that looks like it's the same one, that is a good price on that, I might have to get me one!  :smile30:
