Water is in the low 70's. I was in yesterday a lot. Monday was great because 95% of the boats were gone.

That sounds nice!  That's about the same as the Guadalupe.
I think the Guadalupe is colder. Back in Phoenix, no issues.

Made it smoothly to Ft. Stockton. The truck was running rough as I pulled into the Hampton. After I fueled up it smoothed out to normal sounding. If you are real low on diesel, like I was, do they run funky?

First pic is near Van Horn. Second is a little snack before bed. I am on vacation you know. Taking a little liberty.

Never a good idea to run a diesel low on fuel! Sounds like it may have been aerating the fuel.  :smile30:

Weird thing is, the manual says 29 gallon tank. I could only put in 25.5 gallons. I learned something I guess.

Sounds like you wrapped up a another pretty epic journey. Sux about the swimstep, hopefully can get that taken care of without too much hassle. Good that the guy tried making it right.

And yeah, you don't wanna be running out of fuel out there in the desert. Unless you know if Henry's buddy is out there passing thru to give you a ride that is.. :smile14: :smile16:

:smile28: Back in Katy safe and sound. I had not seen rain in a month till I got to Columbus. It poured and the boat is soaked.

Over two days on the way back I saw three wrecks and five blow outs. One guy lost the right rear fender flare on his Dodge dually when the tire exploded. That happened 100 yds up and one lane to the right. I was within a few minutes of the wrecks because there was very little traffic backup yet as I passed.

Traffic around El Paso suckes big time. I lost 30 minutes due to construction and big rigs.

This was my 5th or 6th Desert Storm, no more. We all agree it has lost it's WOW factor.

4552 total miles. No flat tires or failed bearings, yea!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Going back in the fall with the CP.
