Engine built by Best Machine racing engines. Koleno iron block 4.5 bore. Can go to 4.600. Callies custom 4.625 stroke crank with 2.2 chevy rod journals. GRP pro billet 7 inch aluminum rods. CP gas ported pistons 3mm .043 rings. Dart thermal coating on domes,friction coating on skirts. Trend tool steel pins and tapered .185 wall pushrods. Coated bearings. Milodon dual line oiling system. Comp cam .746 lift 284/296@.050. T&D shaft rockers. Manley 221448 springs. Comp pro elite race lifters with upgrade. Jesel belt drive. ATI damper with chevy pattern. Msd crank trigger, msd distributor, box and coil. Indy 572-13 heads CNC 385. Titanium intake valves. Indy intake. Book Dominator. Moroso vac pump. Canton oil accumulator. Custom basset headers. 15 to 1 compression tuned for VP X16. Aeromotive A1000 fuel system. Very little time on engine. Have stock steering wheel. Two 3 blade cleaver props 10 7/8 x 17 by Dallas. 11x17 by Tom Bentley. 32 gears in box. Engine dynode 1010hp at 6600 to 1056 at 7400.
Competitive trailer new radial tires. Title for both boat and trailer.
JJ Beaver did the installation of the V-Drive and all hardware .

It would be hard to find a finer original ski hydro than this one.  It has amazed me how well put together it is, and by one of the most knowledgable V-Drive guys around anyplace.

Anyone looking or thinking about having a ski hydro needs to look at this.

I wish I had the funds to keep it myself .. I have always loved the way this boat looks . I can remember it at Plowman for sale with the twin turbos and I wanted it then .. That was  before I knew Stacy and the gang .. The original gel coat is still in almost perfect condition

JJ- I might in a few weeks list in in a few more places .. Actually have someone coming to look at it Sunday for just the Hull and trailer from south Texas area .. Who ever gets it will be getting a nice boat and some nice hardware ..

The Boat and Trailer sold Sunday . Engine will stay with Galen for his next project.. Maybe his 69 GTX he is working on , but I am not sure ..  The boat will be going to East Texas .. Tommy ( new owner ) is installing his 496 in it .. He just like to go and cruise the lake and pull the grandkids tubing and stuff .. He has a Shovel nose Hydro that needs a lot of repair so that is why he is getting Galen's Hydro to replace his Shovelnose Hydro , plus he has a couple of Flat - One is  Dimarco and one is a Hallet .. Older gentleman , really nice . might have to go hook up with him in East Texas on weekend ..

Sure is sad taking the boat apart and pulling the engine out .. Everything is disconnected and is ready for the engine to be lifted out .This is when I wished I had a concrete floor in my carport area .. Oh well , off to the sloped driveway and pull it like I have done for years .  I think the new owner or his mechanic will pick it up Tuesday ..


While taking this boat apart , I can tell everyone that JJ Beaver did one hell of a NICE job installing everything on this boat .. Everything was installed like it should be or a hell of a lot better ..


I sure will miss having this boat at my house and watching Galen run it ..

It was a SAD  :smile18:  day Sunday as i watch Galen's Hydro go rolling down the street leaving the house and heading to the new owner place in Jasper Texas .. It will make Tommy a nice ride ..

At least it is going to a good home!  I understand the sentimental attachment to boats and vehicles. That's why I hate selling stuff. I have to get it in my head that I really don't want it anymore, then I can let it go! crazy.gif

Was there when this boat made its maiden voyage. Was a transition from flats to a hydro. That is you realize that there is no down pedal.
