ARIZONA TRIP

From Saturday's  trip to Canyon Lake:
It's a small lake about 2 miles long then becomes a river up to a dam. Close to the dam is the beach you see in the pic. It' about 7 miles upriver thur winding canyons with mountain walls that come right down to the water. The water is in the 60's.

The last pic is of my diverter nozzle. Seems I lost a pin on the right side. Talked to Mike and he said is't an easy fix. Just got to find the parts in Phoenix.

More pics later.

Oh, one other thing. The motor has a miss at 3500 rpm. Slower or faster or at idle or when taking off it's fine. Any thoughts. My first one is it's a ground issue. I'm going to check all the ground connections and clean them up.

That sounds badass. Water a bit chilly. Hope you get the diverter taken care of without much hassle.

The pin was still there. The set screw must have vibrated out. Pushed the pin back in place and get a new set screw and I'm good to go for next weekends trip to Laughlin Nv.

I'm trying to load more pics and I get, THB is currently unable to handle this request. What's up with that?????

Well now I'm really confused, the pic got posted. It shows the pin.

Thanks for the great picture .. Love seeing all of your pictures .. Glad it was a easy fix on the diverter .. Hopefully the engine miss will work itself out also .. Might be just some bad gas ..

Went to Home Depot and got 2 bolts. Now I got a spare. Ordered some nylon washer thingies from CPPERFORMANCE. Good to go for the weekend.

The engine ran fine on the dyno. That makes me think it's electrical, probably a ground issue. No big deal but will know this weekend. I use Staybil 360 in my gas, every tank full. I added 5 gallons of 100 octane just for the hell of it.

At the Love's truck stop across from where I store the boat here they have 100 or 110 octane with lead for $8.50/gal.

Awoke at 6 30 am to the sounds of  boat motors on the river. We partied in the parking  lot till midnight. At least that's when I left.

I hit the water at 8:30 this morning and the beach was already packed with boats. It's 3:30 and I'm in my room taking a 1/2 hr power nap. Then back to the beach and party in the parking lot again tonight. I couldn't do this every week end.
There are some bad ass boats here and quite a few aren't running very well. Different issues with each one but still, not a good sign.

:smile17: Saturday was a great day on the river. Just a light breeze and not hot at all. Probably in the 90's with no humidity. Today a few boats are going to trailer down to Pirates's Cove and launch. Have lunch at Topoc and cruise down to the Gorge ( I call it the narrows and it's a no wake zone cause it's so narrow) and beach the boats for a few hours.
