That's true, it is entertaining! But some members get their feelings hurt when someone tells the whole world they are wrong in a public forum. Then at the next event, they don't talk to each other, and that's if they even show up! Figure arguments can take place over phone calls, emails, send them a love/hate letter! Just looking out for a forum that is really about boating and boating related material. Like hot chicks and fast Fords! Just saying! :smile30: :smile16:

Just had to say something regarding the jobless report that it is always a fake number because it is taken from the number of people using unemployment.  It does not take into account anyone that can no longer partake in unemployment because it has run out for them or they choose to not partake in unemployment.

0 Republicans voted for Obamacare, House and Senate...........this is solely a Democrat passed bill.
There were not enough Democrats willing to vote in favor of and tax payer dollars were used to fund the Cornhusker kickback to Ben Nelson.  Also the Lousiana purchase to buy Mary Landrieu's vote.
Ted Kennedy died, Scott Brown a Republican won.  There were not enough Democrat votes so with parliamentary tricks by Harry Reid he forced bill into Reconciliation, Then only 51 votes was needed to pass not normal 59.
Because of backlash by public for Obamacare Republicans took control of House.  Still short in senate.

yea I see the wonderful economy too.. highest jobless numbers in years, People giving their boats away, loosing houses. yep it is great alreat.

Stock market is artifcially high thanks to Bernake and the government money printing and artifcially proping up market.

when you have a so called president who sets to fundamentally change America this is what you get.

THIS!!!
It really cracks me up to hear the Democrat argument... basically saying "well it has been passed into law, accept it". With that mentality slavery and prohibition would still be the law of the land.

To say Obamacare and the economy are not related is pretty stupid considering healthcare is 1/6th of the economy. http://www.whitehouse.gov/administration/eop/cea/TheEconomicCaseforHealthCareReform

Then the democrats brag about how high the stock market is while complaining how expensive everything is. That is because the Fed keeps printing money and "pumping" it into the economy, meanwhile you keep making the same amount of money and it becomes worth less and less. Because it buys less.

If Obamacare is so good why are Congress and the Senate exempt from it? Why all the waivers?

And Jim in case you missed it I'll post it here again.... passed by 0 that is ZERO Republicans in the middle of the night. Might want to do your own homework before spouting your opinion.
House:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/03/21/AR2010032100943.html

Senate:
http://www.rinolist.org/2010/08/list-of-republicans-that-voted-for-healthcare-reform/

So we are stuck for now with a Law presented to us by a smoker, passed by a party vote by a congress and a senate who did not read it, but exempted themselves from it, to be enforced by a Treasury secretary who does not pay his taxes, and overseen by a Surgeon General who is obese.

And if someone wants to avoid me at an event because of my politics ... that is just fine with me as I find it difficult to maintain meaningful relationships with those types anyway.

:smile30:

Edit: added above "passed by a party vote by a congress and a senate who did not read it, but exempted themselves from it"

If your going to be an expert, then please get it right.
Using health care as 1/6 of the economy and trying to make it sound like Obamacare is the entire health care is more than a stretch.  It's inaccurate.
Healthcare is made of many factors.

If -0- Republicans voted for Obama care, then the official records are wrong.

Let me help you understand again.........

the vote referred to was passage of the bill...... Zero Replublicans voted to pass into law.......... When Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid both held house and Senate.  then had to play games to get enough votes to pass.  The American public liked it so well they voted out Dems in house and it went Republican next election.

the adminatration has jacked with the numbers on jobless reporting........ also how many folks are being dumped from full time 40 hr weeks to less than 30 to avoid Obamacare?

yeah, I am really impressed with the economy....... why don't you drop your insurance and go with Obamcare is so good?

We finally have a President that makes Jimmy Carter look good.

-0- Republicans is incorrect.
The economy and Obama care are different issues and have little to do with each other.
If I couldn't afford the insurance I have, I would be very thankful for Obamacare.
As you know, I can afford my insurance and I am thankful for that.

I happen to be sympathetic toward those who can't.
Sure, there will be those who take advantage of it, but there will be a lot who will get basic health care
that need it.
It may not be perfect, but it's long overdue for this great country we live in.
The arguments against Obamacare are basically the same as there were for Social Security in its day.
You don't need it, until you need it.
    :smile17:

So I don't need Obamacare my wife doesn't, my kids don't. So why is it being forced on us and making premiums go up?

Since the Health Care plan hasn't gone into effect yet, your insurance wouldn't go up due to Obamacare.
I think you need to talk to your provider as to why its gone up, Obamacare isn't the reason.

I lost my Tricare prime on October 1 due to Obama care, now I'm using Tricare standard. Coverage has been severely cut.

I called them and asked why.....AHA Is the reason they gave me.

21 years of military service with a promise of great healthcare when I retired.....only to be reduced to this.

I agree, it's entertaining.

Besides that, I might learn something.  I'm open minded.
Who knows, others might learn something also, but for many I have my doubts.

Keep in mind the Presidents approval rating is about 42%, which is fairly high for the length of time he's been in office and compared to other Presidents.
The rating for Congress is 10%.

Read this one and weep......

http://www.rinolist.org/2010/08/list-of-republicans-that-voted-for-healthcare-reform/

When passed it was on news also........NO Republican voted in favor of...........

believe who you want to.....

Also notices are going out to folks as I know several of increasing premiums due to Obamacare...........

Again as stated some folks never change their mind........ so believe as you wish........

Pay all the extra taxes so no working lazy bums can sit on their butts have babies, eat food off food stamps, talk on their Obama phone while hard working  Americans work this ass off to pay the bill.

the polls depending on which one you get is anywhere from 37% approval to 41% on Gallup...... about the same number who pay no taxes, and enjoy all that was mentioned above.

WOW!!!
And your unbiased source is?      crazy.gif

GovTrack
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

GovTrack.us
Web address http://www.govtrack.us/
Type of site tracking activities of congress
Content license Copyleft
Owner Civic Impulse, LLC
Current status online

GovTrack.us is a website developed by then-student Joshua Tauberer who launched it as a hobby.

My source  "OFFICIAL PUBLIC RECORDS".
My source also lists who voted and how they voted.

GovTrack doesn't seem to list how anyone voted.  That seems to create a credibility gap.
Anyone can create a website and say whatever they wish.  Someone will believe it, if that's what they want to hear.
