Hey guys I'm from Wichita, KS my dad lives in Dallas, Tx and we are going to meet halfway this year for our family get together. So he rented us a cabin at Broken Bow lake in Oklahoma. Has anyone been there before and what is the water like. Would my jet boat be okay there? We are going June 19-23, anyone else planning a trip that same time? Would be great to see some more boats out there.

Broken bow is a great lake. Water is usually clean and clear especially compared to the lakes around Dallas. I have never taken my boat there but I go several times a year to trout fish the river. I do plan on going at least once this year with the boat. Planning to go 4th of July weekend. There is a pretty good crowd of jet boat guys there. Seems like they host a couple of events there every year. I'm sure others will chime in with more info. You got screwed on your half of the trip. It is about twice as far for you as it will be for your dad. LOL.
Yeah your right about me getting screwed on the distance, but there is NO decent lakes around here. The closest lake to my house is 20 miles and it should be filled in and made a wind farm. My buddy sank his 66 Continental last year. Cheney lake has claimed quit a few boats. I've been working on this boat for the last 2 years and we are looking forward to our first trip with it. All holiday weekends...Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day..plus every weekend there are always some guys up there. Yea there is one main cove that they take over on the big weekends, it's pretty close to one of the ramps too.
Its a 79 Condor Sprint with a Dominator pump. Its just about done. Any of you guys know Mike Stucky from Kansas. He's been helping me with the build and putting a mean 557 together for me. I have some pics on here somewhere, but I'll definetly get some more on here within the next week or two once it's all together. Thanks everyone for the great input I really appreciate all the help I get on this forum everytime. :smile27:
