I can't imagine there being any sort of performance gain or loss, etc being pointed one way or the other... I'd guess it would be more like making an easier install/hookup of fuel lines, linkage, etc.
Somebody with experience with dual carbs oughta have more info than me though
Thank you! I kinda figured it would be neutral in the end. Without having to pull the boat all over for different events necessitating jet changes, I’ll just stick with my longitudinally mounted configuration since it’s just a lake boat. I may re-jet once or twice but that’s it. Anybody got a discount code for Dooley so I can order a scoop? LolThere is absolutely none. No gains no losses. I tested this theory on a dyno years ago. On a race deal, where your changing jets, it’s way easier to pull the bowls when they are mounted sideways.
