Those 'cudas are very mean looking...and they're somewhat aggressive. Very easy to catch on the coast....we used to catch them all the time and once in the boat, kill them with a billy club whack to the head. We hated them because when trying to catch other fish, these darn things would steal our bait.... kinda like the garbage fish gar.

Barracudas stink! Some people eat them but IMO the are terrible tasting. I guess if I'm hungry enough I would......but they are nasty fish.

aahahahaa :grin: :grin: I won't brag on catching a bunch of fish, because it has been awhile. I will make sure the cooler doesn't go empty though.... and I can tie my own lines, lol...

One of the best eating Fish I have ever eaten, we fish offshore ALLOT and we make a special run to the Sisters (3 gas wells in a row bout 30 miles off) to catch some Cuda everytime we go out, EXCELENT Fish! Very white and tender meat.  :smile16:

I think the rule of thumb is they're okay eating if they're 18 inches or smaller in length. Does that sound about right Gas Hole?

All this bragg'n about catching fish  crazy.gif  I go to HEB and catch all I want and then do not smell like them after I an finished,  :smile16:
