My ex-wife is REAL good at backing a trailer down the ramp...... but she's an ex so I have to train a new one.... Lol.
Are you getting another wife or is it one of those domestic partner things? think.gif :smile16:

The GF I have now refused to back the Whaler trailer down the ramp last weekend after she had a dream two nights earlier of drowning in the truck...after backing the boat down the ramp...... She's going to require some work....lol.

That's going to be fun to get past the drowning issue. :smile20:
Yeah not sure that's going to happen.  Just wait until she has a dream about drowning in the lake or your boat sinking at the ramp, then your screwed.

It would be better to teach your son how to handle the boat and you handle the backing down until he can handle the backing down part.

Putting a rookie on the ramp ain't what ya wanna do. She'll hate that for sure, lol. Teach her to back the trailer out in a parking lot somewhere, lots of open space & nobody around to make her nervous or waiting in line. I'd imagine one evening after work would do it. Once she's able to back the trailer, I bet the ramp/drowning thing will not be an issue.

when we go to eagle mt we take her jeep most of the time so she pulls it there if she wants but does all of the backing up and parking nonsensewhile i'll just have to hold the boat and kick back.

I told my WIFE that if she wanted to KEEP go to the lake that she was going to have to learn to back the boat in and back the trailer in with out the boat.  She watched a good friend of mines WIFE do it everytime with there boat and the second time she did it she had it down.  now its like walking to her.  GOTTA LOVE IT !    jump.gif

That's what I usually do...back the trailer down to the waters edge...then get out and get into the boat. Then she backs it into the water........and when I give the signal, she'll go and park the truck and trailer......

The new GF hasn't quite got it down yet but there's still plenty of time left int he boating season.

That's it works for us.  Again I am just glad she goes with me, the only time Karol did not go with me was Tawakoni last year and I was a duck out of water without her.  She will be coming with me this year.  jump.gif
