All I am going to say is the events are about more than just boating, they are about comraderie, Friendship, families and much more. By your attitude and comments it seems as though you could care less about the members on this board and more about yourself and what you want. Your negative attitude towards me is ridiculous and frankly i am done with it. THis will probably be my last post in this thread as its pretty much useless to me at this point. I don't have any more time to waste with a negative nellie.
I had such a great time at BCR did I have to bum a ride yes but did anyone else care that I did hell no. Seems like the only one that cares is you. We spent almost as much time sitting around chatting at Lona's place as we did in or on the water. My only regret for that weekend is that I didn't spend more time with DiamondJim since he did give my family a ride out and back in Saturday and I can't thank him enough. I don't want to make another event without my boat and I am doing everything I can to make that happen. But if for some reason it happens then it happens I would rather spend the time with strangers I now call friends for a few days than be at home. Once the CJ is done I will probably through a little get together at Canyon for some fun for anyone that can make it. I am here because of the comraderie of the individuals on this site. It's no fun boating alone.
When I first started posting to this site everyone that posted said to come to an event even if I didn't have a boat running. Well I did and I wasn't the only one either there were several others that showed yup there without boats but yet your not picking on them are you no just me. Well I feel sorry for you Shannon, I hope you do come to RTC because events are a lot of fun. I am sure we will spend the nights shooting the sh!t like we did at BCR (not on the water).
There is more to life than boating I hope you realize that before you die a lonely man. Have you ever seen the electronic game of life where the rules are that if a segment is not surrounded by at least other segments the segment dies or loneliness or if it is sourrounded by more that 3 it dies or over crowding. Well thats based on real life analyzation of the human species. We are meant to be social people for the most part and thats what an event is a social event for the families of THB to get together for some fun, drinks, water, talk, food and general hospitality.

Lighten up CJ.....roll with the punches, no sense in getting all bothered by what a few guys say. Heck....I catch all kinds of grief from my Northern brothers both on and off the boards....no big deal. I guess I do have an advantage though, I am retired military and if you don't develop thick skin over the years in the military, you ain't gonna make it.
Not many people have the honor of getting their own "Hate Mail" threads.....only a select few: CJ and SPD, JETSTAR, Patch and TTJ......that's about it. I'd consider you an "Elite" with that kind of THB Notoriety!

I actually don't boat alone , I boat with lots of people . I can boat with other people anytime I get a chance right here by my house . Fact is I get zero paid vacation days a year , and I make most of my money on Saturdays . For us to leave town for the weekend costs me a lot of money , so I don't do it that often . There are some events that I would like to be able to make , but not just any event is worth the money to me . As said before , I live right next to a river and right up the road from a lake . Why close my business for the weekend and lose a couple grand when I can boat right here on my day off ? When and where I boat is really none of your business anyway . If you have to drag halfway across the state just to be able to find a friend that's your problem . I have friends right here close to home . A lot of them are here on the boards , and a lot are not . Just because I don't see them all the time foes not mean that I do not consider the other guys here to be friends , but I don't need to take off across the state to prove anything .

Cliff it has nothing to do with thick or thin skin I think I have shown I am thick skinned enough I just choose to not have negative nellies in my life. Hazing is cool, Hell I get ribbed by you and everyone else around here and it flows off my back. TTJ and I go back and forth but we are cool. Spd seems to have it out for me not a single nice or courteous word all negative. Hell maybe I should be honored he has dedicated his entire signature to me. Maybe the the problem is I don't know him well enough, but I guess if I ever want to meet him I will have to drive to the San Jacinto to go meet him on a day he will be there. I probably won't put the CJ in the water there because I know it can be saltwater at some point and since I don't know where that point is I won't take a chance with it in saltwater. As far as a hatemail thread yeah I guess it would be an honor if it wasn't that this thread was created because everyone was getting tired of every other thread turning into a back and forth match between spd and I. I tend to take a look at things from a big picture standpoint and see things from several perspectives. Spd can continue bash me all he wants it still won't matter to me I am just choosing to let it roll off my back and not respond to his comments. I am pushed by the ribbing and part of me wants to get my boat on the water before spd gets the kona out. It's a little competition and thats a good thing. I hope he gets the Kona out I hope he gets to an event because they are a lot of fun. I only ever started to speak back because scarab was asking me why I never stand up for myself well bottom line is I just let everything roll off my back. I will say something when I feel like it and I have always been the one to show up and do something than look good doing it. The proof is in the pudding to me. All my vehicles have always been ugly but they ran and ran good eventually in the end they looked as good as they ran. To me its whats on the inside that counts and for the most part I think everyone here has a good heart and its all in good fun I just worry about spd's motivation and don't want to encourage him further.
Shannon I understand how being a hair stylist is an every day job. My aunt is one as well. I grew up spending weekend in her shop helping out by sweeping up, cleaning and in between spending the time playing outside with my cousins. If you own the shop then I hope you are able to make that transition someday from being self employed to truly being a business owner where you can walk away from the shop for a day, a week, or a month and still make money. Yes that can happen. I wish you well in all your endeavors and do not wish you harm. I have friends around here but I enjoy making new friends. I have a few that like to boat but most of my friends are into other things I am also into. I am a diverse person and part of the reason I don't have as much time for my boat is because of that diversity, those friends, and my family. And btw its not a whine just a statement take it as you like.
Am I being a bit serious here maybe too much so take it all as you like. Things in peoples lives change and make you reflect so sorry if I am raining on anyone's parade. I will see you at the lake.
