I Think It Is Time!

Since the will of the country is being dictated by the North East (Union States) and the West coast I'm thinking maybe it is time to divide the country into 2 separate countries. Time for a civil war. Red States will continue to be The United States of America and the Blues states can call themselves The Socialist States of America or whatever they want. The Red states will keep the constitution and the military since the Blue states don't believe they have a use for them. Trade agreements and immigration will need to be considered for goods and people to travel between the countries just like today. The current monetary system will somehow need to be divided as well. Red states may want to let the blues keep use of the dollar and create their own currency since the dollar is now almost worthless anyway. Then everyone can live within their principals.  It will be interesting to then see who prospers and who does not.
The possibilities are endless.
So lets devote this thread to what it would be like if this were to happen and what things might need to be considered to get the job done. I'll get it started.

1. Blue states will not be hampered implementing their gun control laws.
2. Arizona and Texas will be allowed to deport illegals without interfearence from the federal government or heck the federal govt might just deport them for us for a change.
3. The Blue states can put everyone on the government tit just like they want and the red states will have no say or input in the matter.

It will never work unless the blue states find a way to get their hands on the red states money .

Don't Forget that the Great State of Texas becomes its own Republic independent and separate from either set of states

This would never work.

California is a blue state and most of my toys come from there.  If it is a separate country, there would be a duty tax for the toys being imported and make them more expensive.
Can we exempt boats, cool toys and dirty movies?

You must have missed the election. 
Texas picked up 3 new liberal representatives out of the 4 positions available.
It appears liberals are already here.

            Actually, I don't think that I've ever said I am a liberal.
            Does anyone think they know what a liberal is?

Nah , screw that . All the blue voters have to relocate to the blue states for it to work . But if it makes you feel any better the blue states can kick out all of their residents that display common sense  think.gif

I don't think you worded that the way you meant. 
In order for the Blue states to kick out the voters who made good sense, they would have to kick out the voters who voted Blue.

Why would they want to do that?

didn't read the whole post,  I live in Texas and we know texas don't speak english, and on top of that,  I'm Indian,  that's feather not Dot....  but here in BC we sent some help up to the yanke states (the ones that got hit real hard by super storm sandra),,,,  told us that if not UNION go home,  so we did,    hope everyone up there burns in hell
