I'm from here in North Central Mississippi, sister in law and brother in law just moved to Grand Prairie. Where do the folks near there do their boating? I'd consider bringing my v-drive when we visit, as long as it's not too far to travel from GP.......74wesco....Ken Stevens

Welcome aboard! I'm in the South, so I am not too sure what northern lakes are good now. I do know that Lake Whitney/Brazos river are excellent for v-drives! Keep a watch for post titled " Plowmans, or Steele Creek" those are v-drive friendly gatherings for sure!

Grand Praire has a nice lake.

Fort Worth lake is nice as is Eagle Mountain lake. Eagle mountain lake is extremely rough on the weekends though.

Lake Lavon has a very jet boat / V-drive friendly crew too.....they usually meet on Wednesday evenings at Collin Park Marina. They gather on the weekends too but thats when everyone is out so it can get a little choppy on the weekends.
