They finding anything on the lake bottom yet? I remember a couple years ago when it got down so low, they found some cars here & there. Saw a short Youtube vid where they also found a truck at the end of a boat ramp at an old park that been closed for years...

They found a car with some skeletal remains in it the othe day in lake Ray Hubbard. I think a guy was backing his boat off the trailer and his prop hit the car......and that's how they found it. Not sure which ramp that was.

Not sure which ramp it was, I sure hope it wasn't the one we've used several times.

Trey, Kat, and I found a car just downstream from the boat ramp at Altair.  No body though....  Turns out, it was a little insurance fraud.

Nope.  They couldn't prosecute the guy.  He was dead.  Turns out, it was my understanding the guy was in bad health and owed some medical bills.  So, he dumped the car and claimed it was stolen.  The Poe Poe said at the time of recovery, he was gonna get nailed with all sorts of fines from the EPA.  A fine for every fluid and hazardous material in the car.  Even washer fluid!

That is funny.  That also would be a heck of a deal, be running down the river and hit a car.  I wonder if insurance would believe that story.

There was a couple cars in the Navidad river where we go. Never heard what the story was on them though, they been there for a looooooonnngggg time. They were at least outta the way, up by the bank. If you was gonna be up where they were, hittin a car would be the least of your worries, lol...

when the lake got even lower a few years ago they found a lot of things.  cars, trucks, boats, barrels, and even so really old machinery that was used to build the dam.
