A properly built wing will have around 2 degrees of washout.  That means from where the wing joins the fuselage to the tip, it will twist downward to the tip.  The difference in angle of attack between the wing root and the tip should be around 2 degrees on most aircraft.  (not just rc aircraft have washout built into the wing). What does all this mean?  It helps decrease stall speed of the wing.  While flaring the nose for landing, the wing tip angle of attack has not stalled and is still providing lift while the inner portion of the wing is near stalling thus, a more gradual loss of altitude is noticed.

Make sense?

Also, the incidence meter that I have is used when scratch building.  With the fuselage level and the wing attached, you can check the wing's angle of incidence.

got the XL mostly broke in, Ran three tanks on the stand then two on full rich, then started leaning it out some. Still have more to tune but it is running pretty fast right now and still not lean enough to shift into third. Dam thing is plenty fast as it is... Can not imgaine what it will be like after i have my first gallon gone and can really get into it. Still need to mess with the LSN but that will be another day. My ingnigtor went dead as i had to start it many many times on the stand. Was having trouble running at idle for more than a few minutes think.gif
