" Run for Rusty " at Steel Creek July 8th Saturday

We are planning to head down to Steel Creek on Saturday July 8th to make some passes and have a cold one for our Buddy Rusty that we lost a couple Months ago .. We will be at the ramp area and may venture down to the point that is just about a mile toward the dam on the right side ..If you don't know this spot , stand on the pier and look to your right and most likely you can see us or at least hear us ..  I will get there about 9:30 -10:00 or earlier , and hope we have some good water .. Hope we have a nice calm day with no rain or high winds .. See you there .. Normally the lake is pretty quite after a big Holiday weekend ..  jump.gif

I'm looking forward to it.  The boats ready and I just finished replacing the brakes on the trailer.

I didn't recall brakes being that difficult to replace.  The dropped axel makes the trailer sit nice and low, but it interferes with getting to the star adjusting wheel.  I ended up modifying a brake spoon.  It was new learning experience.  A usual 2-3 hour job that took a week.

glad you are making it Jim .. Bring the rudder box and i will trade you some Mobile 1 synthetic oil .. I have two gallon that i don't need .. make me a deal on the rudder box ..

OK- I got my boat all gassed up and I think I am ready .. See you guys Saturday morning ..

Started it up and ran it a few seconds. No leaks fuel and oil presser good. Load the truck and I will be ready to go. I don't have any c16 so no nos passes. That takes all the fun out of it. Will be there about 10.
