got the 532 on the ground, need to pull the shortblock apart for the crank and rods, block is prepped and ready, have rings and bearings, no pistons yet, and they are $700.... :smile15: But if I can get the crank in the block, I can finish it.

Ok, finally had a little good luck for once, and I'm able to buy pistons. Problem is, It seems I have 3 choices in slugs...
a -39cc dish, a -22cc dish or a flattop. The combo is a 4.3 stroke, 4.390 bore, and a 6.8" rod. With the 94cc street stroker iron heads, that comes out to 8.5 to 1, 9.3 to 1, or 11 to 1.... :smile29:

My last 3 boats were race fuel only boats. I would like to run pump gas, but still have some snap. Suggestions? (besides buying a chevy, I know, I know...whatever)

The 9.3 to 1 probe pistons are about 570 bucks.

The 11 to 1 flat tops are 670 bucks, plus 270 bucks for a pair of .071 thick head gaskets to bring it down to 10'5 to 1 think.gif

Open for comments here, guys. I would like to order them today.

What's the advertised duration? If it's over 300 its not that aggressive since since it's only 253 @ .050 and it should be ok keeping the valve off the seat that long.

Ok, so figuring the pistons at .010 in the hole (since the block is 10.310) That'd make the flattop 10.63...... jump.gif
