Tired of having to get you guys to carry us, our easy-up, ice chests and chairs to the damn sandbar and back.
How is everyone this morning? have a good weekend?I spent Sunday dragging out the ol' motor and trying the new plates...damn front plate only has a small hole for the crank...I have to have it opened up for the counterweight..... :smile18: I'm gonna use the rear 4 point plate as a flywheel cover, just have to trim off the lower corners....looks like I'm in a race with ol' GR :smile17:

Weekend was pretty good, got most of the shopping done for this weekend. Don't have much to do to the boat, just usual "hittin the road" routine.

Saw Sandy at Sears Saturday, she said you were putting your pump together & she was getting you some paint.

^^^^^^^^
Say that 3 times fast, lol.....

You gonna race Ghost to the water huh? Interesting.... lol

definately. how hard is it to pull a wear ring out and put one in.

not to bad,  coming out is easy but can be frustrating going back together,  but if you freeze the ring it helps ,  my .01

Freezing the ring as well as the bushings is the way to go, the old ring comes out with a little heat, the new one taps in with wooden block/hammer. I'll be ready for ya, Randall, should only take a little while. prolly 2 Dr.peppers. :azn:

you can also take an arc welder and weld one inch or so bead and shrink the ring and it will fall out

Duplicolor aluminum engine paint #1615......looks like new for long time. On the pedal, I polished the sides, and repainted the grooves and sanger dude with industrial black trailer paint, using a modeling brush. Thanks for the kind words.

Pedal looks killer... A modeling brush, damn, thats some tedious work, but well worth the effort.  :smile15:

Whats up with the intake with that cloverleaf looking opening for the carb? Newer style Victor or something, my Victor just has a square opening...

Guess thats what I need to be doing to mine while its just sitting there. You do anything special to prep it or just clean it & fling the paint.

The clover is due to the 4500 pattern. It will also sport a cloverleaf 1" wooden spacer that's supposed to be worth 15+ HP. Brakleen the intake, dry, and shoot.
