Notice my purchased set of rewarder twisties DON'T fit.....  stuck with an old set of hookers... :smile24:

Who'd a thought that twisties actually need more room than standard headers... :smile21:

The original hydro twisties actually twisted over the valve covers, had plenty of room....wth? :smile26:

guess it's time to polish another set of headers.... :smile18:

they are pressed into the venturies, and held in place with a bolt/bracket. took about an hour to get them in right....shortly, I'm going out to remove/polish the old headers. anybody have a beer?

Those headers in that pic look like standard uprights to me? They don't look anything like the twisties on my boat. Wonder how difficult it be to get you a set of these, I believe they are Sandersons.... Pic is of LakesOnly's engine. While looking for that pic, I did notice that some twisties seem to come out away from the engine quite a bit further than others, not sure if its a brand difference or what?

those are hydro twisties, what the boat used to have!
the headers on the boat now, in the pictures, actually don't belong to me. they were kinda abandoned here, along with a bunch of other Ford parts. The guy brought me a boat 2 years ago to rebuild his engine and pump. I pulled the motor, and gave estimates....the guy came and got his boat stating he didn't have enough money. I kept the motor and headers to store for him, never heard back. I figure I'll keep his headers warm for him, until I hear from him again. Better than rusting in the corner, yes?

I really like the look of those , but I want to find a set of thru transom headers to put on my boat . If it were just mee in the boat I would run those , but with Bonnie and Mattie in the boat with me the thru transom is a better choice .

Ok, I got ya... Guess you could always put logs on it with some "over the transom" pipes. :cheesy: You talkin about that Sleekcraft that sat over there for awhile? Yeah, its the least you could do, keep the headers where you can keep an eye on them at all times.

No, came off a big family jet, can't remember what hull... big tahiti or Hawaiian...black boat...someone built him a shit motor, lasted 3 trips to the lake...the guy is young, had a baby in the truck...talked about his horses needing surgery...blah blah..
he did pay me for disassembly, though...just holding his parts in case he does come around. ....  I figure I'll give him another year before I build a budget stroker outta this stuff..lol. I got roller rockers, msd dizzy, oil pan, tunnel ram and 2 600's etc.
