Well, some of you may know, the Sanger hit the water for the first time in 12 years this weekend. I thrashed for 6 days before hydrofest to get her going. It was kinda a surprize for most folks, as they thought it would never float again..lol.
Good news:  The ol'hydro kicks A$$. Awesome acceleration, and superb handling. I had forgotten just how well it turns! :smile16:
The acceleration through the midrange is nothing other than spectacular! It rivals a few blown boats I've been in.
The boat carries itself very well, and handles rough water VERY well for a hydro.
Pulls a AA 5700rpm.

Bad news: on about the 11th really hard pass, without warning, something let go. Don't know what came apart yet, but that'll keep this thread alive. :smile17:

Big horsepower!!. Hope its not hurt bad enough to keep ya out all summer. I still need to line up with ya for some test and tunning!!

The old boat made me fall totally in love with it again....Sandy got to go for the 2nd ride, and was completely happy with it, as I am.  :smile27:

We'll get it going again, somehow. :smile17:

I am happy that you got your boat back on the water for you . also sorry to hear about any types of problem that you are having , I feel your pain .

Any ideal of what let go ? How many back to back passes did you make ? was the oil too hot ?
I saw you posted your RPM , what do you think your speed was ?

Hopefully you will get it fixed quick , i know you have the fever now and it just a matter of how bad it is before you can get back on the water .

I wish you luck that it is something simple

It felt in the low 80's.....never made long hard passes, gave it plenty of in between time. never topped out or gps'd it.
I love my boat again. :smile16:
It certainly won't be the fastest, but damn, it's quick for a single 4bbl.  or was...lol

It's all good, I have a very positive attitude now. :smile17:

I can't wait for you to get it back on the water and get it all dialed in .. I am sure you was higher than the 80's , but that is fine for the first outing . Next reading will be closer to the 100 mark ..
Glad you had fun ..

What's up man? How did your boat run? Did you get the chiller on it?
Got the Chiller on and was very pleased, and the pump work I did helped also. Got to play with Toby some that was a lot of fun jump.gif jump.gif
