I guess I got the boat when I was 26 or so. The boat was sitting in a grown up field, with a live oak tree growing up out of the engine compartment. The front of the boat was completely covered in catclaw.... :smile20:

I didn't even know the boat had sponsons until a few minutes with a chainsaw...
Fixed 4 flats and brought it home.

That's cool! I guess it just goes to show that where there is a will, there is a way! I'm glad you got to splash it, I have heard this Hydro rumor for three years now. It's nice to see it in the water where it belongs!Hats off to you brother! clap.gif

well, after pulling the valve covers and #2 plug....looks like a manley severe duty valve seperated.... :smile19:

not good. I knew something had to just break, it was running too good and smooth.
hopefully the crank and rods are still ok, no glitter in the oil. :smile18:

Damn!  What kinda spring pressures are you running?  think.gif

Still, shouldn't have broken....

I hope the slug didn't hit it first... ie rod/wrist pin etc failure

Hoping for the best!

Been there, and done that. Sounded like the header fell off my car when it happened. I hope it didn't do anymore damage. All in all, it wasn't too bad of a fix for me. :smile24:
