Steel Creek or Plowman - When ???

Hey Brazos River Group  , when are we making our first trip to the river? I think my boat is ready for a test run . It will be on race fuel ( VP114)  first trip down and then back to the E-85 next trip . Want to get some number when it is running on all 8 holes this time ..RPM / Speed /  to compare the race fuel to the E-85 ..

Granbury water is still brown , how is the water at Steel Creek or Plowmans ??

Maybe in 3 weeks ??  April 21 or 22 nd ??  Just can't go the weekend before ..

Maybe the extra work on the intake will help this year .. I think Yelvie does great work on porting ..

I need to stay close to home also .. I will google it and see how far it is , but trying to save some money right now . Plus I like Steel creek and the local V-Drive guys that show up there ..

Thinking of finding me a Yamaha V-Max for playing around on also ,so I need to sell the 5th wheel RV and old Ford diesel truck first .. it might help if I put a sign on them .. LOL

268 miles one way is just a little too much right now .. That would be about $200.00 in fuel to get there and back ..
Trying to save a few dollars ..

I think the V-max may have hard time pulling that Cole TR-4.  I know it will take skill in stopping it once you are going.            hurry.gif

Funny Jim ----  If the old Ford Diesel sells I will still have my trusty 68 Chevy pick up to pull the V-Drive and I can take the V-Max in the truck with me ..

Plowman may be history to you guys , but it is still active around here .. Might not have a large event there , but we still go there ..

If the wind is bad at one , then we head to the other one .. One will always be smooth ..

I guess I will just have to dump mine in lake Granbury up river to make my test runs ..  At the Car show Saturday the lake patrol talked to me and he told me that he has seen me on the water before , but so far he has not stopped me .. His big block ( 502)  Chevy airboat is just as loud as my boat .. I told him I would look for him on the lake , but for him not to pull me over ..

The Cole will probably be ready before the Hallett.  I have the motor back from E.O and I just have to put the motor back in from it being freashened up, add the blower and hook things up.  Hopefully that will be soon.  I will let the water clear up at Steal Creek before I get too excited though.
