Just wanted to check and see if the regulars are going to Steel Creek on Sept. 7th ? . That is the weekend after labor Day .. I am planning to go if we still have enough water in the river to play on ..

I want to see if I can get the boat to run any faster .. I set my goal already of 110 mph and I am very happy with that number , but now of course I will have to set it a little higher .. Maybe my old 68 Chevy Truck will run 112 or 114 mph so I can save it to my GPS and say the boat ran that speed .. LOL

Let me know who is interested in going ..

No - Plowman event was alway the first weekend in October , this will be the first Saturday in September ..  No Plowman this year .. Maybe in a few more years we will go back ..

A remote oil line popped off and she ran out of oil. I didn't shut it off in time and............ well you know the rest of the story of when a motor runs out of oil.  :smile18:

Steele Creek sure sounds good, haven't been on the Brazos in a long time. Good luck with the new goal Billy, I'm sure you will get there no problem.

Well we have Plan B, which is our fishing boat... a 1966 13' Boston Whaler. I think the jet boat is done for the rest of the season....but we aren't.

Billy, will try and make that.  May have to go in Eliminator as have not done anymore to the flat.  Still need to finish fuel system, throttle linkage re-do, and finish plumbing the water in and out.

If we have some cool weather may get high in behind and try and finish it. Sitting here with brand new bullet in it and only like odds and ends and have not finished.  there was a time I would not have slept until I fired and ran it.

That is what getting older does for you I suppose.  Or spending all of my time on facebook? ha ha

North end of Lake Whitney on Brazos River.......... right at mouth of lake............  About 30 mi from Cleburne, Tx.

Its on the Brazos River up above Lake Whitney, little ways down from Plowman park. Closest town I think may be Kopperl?

Steele Creek at Lakeside.......... Plowman at Kopperl...... about 5 to 6 mi apart.......... off Highway on Hwy 56

Wayne - I could bring it to Granbury and finish it for you , but  then i would have to test drive it .. and I know that is not going to happen .. LOL
