Bobby . Sound like you got this deal heading in the right direction .. It should be a good turn out .. I will pass the word around to the Steel Creek group and some people in Granbury also .. I might throw a tent Friday night and stay Saturday , Never know might talk the wife into coming for her birthday on Sunday

I think we will show up early Saturday afternoon and camp Saturday night. My son has a football game that Saturday morning at 1030am. Should be at the lake by 2pm.

We'll pay to share a site with someone.

Thanks Bobby . I will not know the exact days I will be able to go until it gets closer . If all else fail , I will drive up Saturday morning . Hell it only about a 2-2 1/2  hour drive for me ..

Thought I would post some pics for you guys that have never been to 429, just to give y'all an idea. :wink: These pics are from last weekend, this is the boat ramp we always use on Tawakoni.

Boat ramp. The office / laundromat and covered awning with picnic tables to the left.

Stage. The Rec Center is the building behind the stage.

Ramp. The restrooms are the small building with the map painted on it. The restrooms have always been very clean, with two small children I have got good use out of them.

GOOD JOB on the pics Dusty. Just for everyone FYI the last pic is the field where park owner said that you could set up camp and run Generators for tents or RV's. Or...we can also use it for over flow truck and trailer parking. We can also park on the grass in other areas too!

Grillin' and smokin'...

If we have enough  :smile29:  interest I can probably bring a smoker/grill built on a trailer for everyones use. You will need to supply EVERYTHING else- including your wood, charcoal ect. PS- someone could even cook me a steak. LOL j/k on the steak.

I put in there when we had get together back in July.  I spoke with some people while getting everything ready to put in the water and had a look around. Very nice people and all around a nice place. Can't wait till October.
