A "wintry mix"... how eloquent...  :cheesy: Colder than a witch's tit sounds more applicable, lol...

On a serious note, what did you do? I told Brandon about running antifreeze thru his, but I bet he never did it.  crazy.gif I wasn't sure to use the regular green antifreeze, or the pink stuff like they use on RVs... Luckily we have not had any hard freezes yet, but don't want to take chances with it not being inside.

Use the pink, it is suppose to be friendly to the environment. Plus I always flush them and make sure they run before I drag them to the water. I figure that is proper boat etiquette.  :smile17:

Mine is fine. His is under a carport with a good snug cover on it... and has some protection from the wind. But not as protected as being inside an insulated shop. I told him about doing this awhile back....

Definitely don't use the green stuff.  It's highly toxic to fish and wildlife.
If you start your boat up at the lake and the local authorities see the green, you'll have more to worry about than whether the boat runs.
It's a state offense and possibly a federal offense, whichever it is, it's serious trouble.

Even if you start it at home with the green stuff, be careful that it doesn't end up going into a storm drain or where any pets will get to it.  It's poisonous to them.

I was in some pretty good snow in Ft. Worth today. The road covered white and was getting slick. Glad to be home. Cold but not wet.

yes it was Henry....... I made a drive this afternoon in FTW/N. Richland Hills to house. Took an hour instead of the normal 15 to 20 minutes.  Ice and snow on Trinity River bridge close to Jim's house and 4 car pile up... Cars backed up for a mile and then trains started coming through. A real DFW traffic zoo.  Kind of like Houston all time.

Yep I had a blast pulling Karol's new 25' Pontoon through all of that. Did a little sliding myself.
