V-Drives Flat vs Runner Bottom

Billy's just being kind enough to show us the print of a runner bottom...For those who asked, see those small runners down each side? Tunnels if you will; that's what makes a runnerbottom....lol, Thanks, Billy!

No problem Duane .. It is easier to take a picture and inspect the bottom of the boat instead of crawling under the trailer and inspecting for cracks .  I like that picture ..

I agree that if it were about jets there would be at least 6 pages by now.  It would be mostly about roost though and how high the water gets squirted in the air.
Since I am a V-drive person, I don't get the roost thing. 
It seems like someone squirting water into the air when trying to make the boat go fast, would be counterproductive, but what do I know.
One thing I have always found interesting is that when one of those rare, but really fast jet boats runs, they have no roost.  It seems they figured out that
Squirting water back rather than up, actually makes the boat faster. 

Maybe it's the physics law that says, "For every action there is a reaction".  If that's the case, then squirting water up would be to push the boat down, now I could understand that.
