Yeah that sucks about Texas law regarding a deer that destroys your vehicle. I understand the reason for the no road kill. I do understand that law in some areas in Texas where the deer are practically domesticated cause then you would some idiots hitting deer out of season to get the meat. In Michigan the tow tuck driver will haul it and the car to the house for you and if you know the driver they will usually string up for you too using the winch.TexasJet said:pinkston.jon said:You at least keep it for sausage & burgers?
That's against the law. Can't keep road kill. Can't even shoot it to put it out of misery if you don't kill it when you hit it.
A friend of mine found out the hard way.
It was a hit and run occifer I swear I saw it get up and jump away into the woods.scarabscs said:Hope your rig is alright.
If its too bad, you can use uninsured motorist for the repairs.
That's not too bad. Shouldn't take much to fix it up. And in a pinch if you needed it a headlight and you can drive it.Patchman said::smile25:
It's got full coverage!
I think I saw a minor ding in the door nothing that couldn't be popped out with a suction cup puller though. I agree probably wont be worth the deductible to get it repaired.Devilman said:hunting season is not open yet I don't believe. think.gif
