Just thought we need a thread where people can keep everyone up to date. I've been surfing between ten threads trying to see what is up with THB peeps. Just because it is fall, I don't want everyone to fall off the globe. I've enjoyed meeting ya'll and want to keep in touch :smile15:

Whole lot of nothing around here. Long as the hours are cut, won't be doing much I don't believe. Still planning on getting the pump done, but not gonna pull it till I have the $$$ saved to cover a total rebuild should it come to that. So that means I need not bother pulling the pump till December sometime, lol...

Probably still be slugging away on the old truck motor unless things get better.

That pretty much covers boat stuff, other than that just keeping a low profile. :grin:

There was a forged piece of 4130 ss that I ultra sound last week and did a final penetrant test for surface deffects and found that there were a lot of spider cracks in the material. So me and my boss came down here to mogas to have a meeting with them on how this was missed comes out to be that the scope wouldn't even pick up the cracks in the material so I got saved .

:smile11: I tore the motor down and found the cam,lifters,valvesprings & valves all to be good. The exhaust pushrods were rubbing on the guide plates for some reason. Four of them pretty bad.One broke off right at the mark where the others are worn... So not so bad,just gotta figure out why. need some new exh pushrods,probably all new guide plates  & rockers from a different brand. Did find out there is some nice port work on the intake runners when I pulled the intake off. :smile19:  I heard a couple of jets out at the river sunday about 6:00  So..... we are in great shape... Sat is our 29th anniversary,we're goin to the renesance festival in costumes  That will be a blast :smile15: Lots of beer & BIG OLE HOOTERS!!!!!!!!

fixing to spend the next month or two pulling the head's and super charger off , do a little more cleaning on the head's and make sure everything's up to snuff .

i want more time at the river tooo. then there is more rain on it's way today and tomorrow.. this crap sucks monkey butts...  :smile18:
