That would work. I would like to source it locally, but if not anywhere would be fine. My mother-in-law is doing the sewing, but I need to find that pleated for the inserts. Worst case scenario I can just do a smooth insert out of the other color I have.

So just ask about that, "dark tan ribbed vinyl"? Marine grade I assume...

Dark tan or a lite brown. Marine grade is correct. I currently have a Leather (looks like King Ranch Interior ) color vinyl and a buff or lite yellow color. Just plain marine vinyl.

I'll call up there & see what they say. You have any idea how much? I guess they'd sell it by the yard? think.gif

The boss (Dwight) was who I was hoping to talk to, wasn't around right now. About all I could find out is that they don't keep any thing in stock other than some whites & greys/offwhites. But that other colors could be ordered.

Told him your situation, guy mentioned a place called Keystone up in your area?

Patch, that's real nice looking stuff you got there. What kind of carpet did you use?  It kinda looks like a short shag.

It's a marine carpet from Keystone Bros in Houston. It is pretty short, but still real soft. Should be easy to clean. Better than the 30 year old stuff I had. Now on to the seats.

How are you attaching it to the deck, with carpet glue? Is there a Marine carpet glue?

Reason why I'm asking is that I plan on replacing my carpet in the fall 2011.

I used a carpet glue that they offer there as well. It is very thin and is marine grade. It sets up fast. Must use in a well ventilated area though. You will have one hell of a headache afterwards. :smile25:
