DONT KNOW ABOUT ANY MOTELS CLOSE TO THE LAKE, BUT THEY HAVE RV'S YOU CAN RENT AND THEY SET UP FOR YOU IN ANY SITE WITH HOOKUPS.RandallAgain said:

It was at Elephant butt in NM. That a was a 4th of july weekend there was not a place to camp, so we went to that little island took 3 trips to the ramp to get it all there, it was great thou all the fun of the 4th but no bs to deal with and they shot the fire works right over us it was cool, and noone around to B**** about the gen. running :smile15:. It did work well but I should have set the ac more level. Also you should have heard the reaction at the ramp when I loaded the ac and gen.

Thats cool, we talked of going to Elephant Butte a few years ago, just got put on the back burner & kinda fizzled out. :undecided:
Thats the kind of camping we used to do at the river, 2 or 3 trips back to the ramp to get all the stuff, no gennies or ACs back then though. Kind of miss that kind of trip..... kind of. lol :grin: We have a small window unit that we kept around to use in a tent. We actually haven't had to use it yet, but we made believers out of John & his wife Amy when we let them use it at Somerville last summer. :grin: :grin:
