Navarro Mills Lake is a 5,070 acre lake
located on Richland Creek, a tributary of the
Trinity River in north central Texas between
Hillsboro and Corsicana.  The U.S. Army Corps
of Engineers began construction on the lake in
1959 and completed the project in 1963.  The
lake was primarily built for flood control and to
supply water to the residents of Navarro County

Navarro Mills Lake has long been a well kept secret of North Central Texas.  This beautiful lake
is nestled among the rolling hills between Hillsboro and Corsicana and is surrounded by
mature oak & pecan trees.  Escape the crowded lakes and visit Navarro Mills Lake.
We are sure it will become your family's favorite weekend getaway!

WOW!  Thanks for keeping me in mind Trey.  I feel like I am the guy that never goes anywhere.  Too bad the Belton is not going to work for a weekend.  I have  a buddy that lives close and was looking forward to it.  I will also keep in mind Lake Navarro Mills.  But it is pretty small so not much for me to do.  Although just hanging out and having a few colds ones is always a great way to spend the day.  I am going to make an event this year, I hope.  Thanks yall.

Jared.

Ashley and I have decided to start a new Hot Boat event at Cedar Ridge Park at Lake Belton.(Thanks to Texas Jet for giving us the idea to have it there). We would like to have it July17-19 next year because it seemed like there wasn't much going on around that time this year. If there are people interested, we would like to have t-shirts and koozies for sale along with FREE bbq on Saturday. Right now we just need to know who would be interested in attending and if July 17-19 would be a good weekend. I will post the link for the park tomorrow...

Still pretty close for you Sweet Addiction. Thanks Tim for the input. It did seem kind of dead around that time...
Sorry for deleting the previous thread...

:smile19:
Thanks, Trey

We will try out Navarro Mills this year and see how it turns out. If it isn't a good turn out then we will try a different place next year.

Thanks for the info Liberator 21. We hope you can at least come drink a beer or two, Jared.

after looking at the park map it looks like sites 93-102 are the closest to the water.and might be where everyone would camp? they do have campers available for those that don't own an rv or don't tent camp. they cost $99.00 per night with a 2 night minimum stay required. everyone post up with a site # after you make your reservations.
