4x4 Trany case is special, keep that. It's got alot more "BEEF"

Truck I started with was 2 wheel drive, so it is just a regular old c-6. It got put to the side in favor of a 4 spd/205 combo...  Good info to know though, thanks!

Well a little update on the truck. I put lowering shackles on the rear and dropped it about an inch. Then I got a wild hair to drive it to a local car show last weekend. Didn't take long to break my 8 year old alternator belt! :smile20:

I wouldn't worry about it CJ ,  the belts you have will last forever  :smile30: Even if you do manage to get the motor turn over someday the laws of physics do not apply to you , so the belts will still last forever  :smile27:

Nah , I still love me a nice BBC . I even tried to talk Mike into trading me some of his BBC stuff the other day .  It's just the Ford and Chrysler Junk that I hate on . And I don't really even hate the Chrysler motors , just the marine products . Fact is I own two Dodge Durangos myself , one SLT with a 318 and one RT with a 360  :smile30: But thier marine products were always junk and the companies that ended up buying them out just continued to produce more junk .

Hmm thats funny when at one point Chrysler had 70% of the marine market.  The inboard motors are the same motors they put in the cars no difference in them same as what GM and ford do.  Their outboards got a bad rap I can understand where your coming from regarding the outboards ONLY and that was the only division that was repeated bought and sold in the 80's.  So as you like to say you got it half right.  If you want to contemplate this further we can take it to the hate thread an not litter up patches thread with more hate which is what you seem to keep wanting to do lately.

Here you go Patch, 4x4 version of yours. Had a blast with this one, miss having it around, along with a place to use it. Believe it or not, although I didn't drive it anywhere other than to our local offroad spot, it was street legal. It always got an interesting look when I took it in for an inspection sticker, lol. :cheesy:

I always ran Ground Hawgs on my big trucks, never really aired down with them unless running in 2 wheel drive, which happened from time to time if the front axle was blown up, lol...

Speaking of the farm truck, I think it's time for a new fuel tank. Just lost my second electric pump, and the filter is full of trash. So I think I'll put a mechanical on it and a new tank! Pump died just as I started a burn out! How embarrassing! :smile19: :smile19: :smile19:
