Considering buying a pistol!

Do a little gunning myself. Usually carbine. Have a MOE M&P15 with an EOtech and then my trusty M&P9. Yeah, I am a Smith fan.

The best gun you can have is one you can shoot well, are comfortable with and is reliable. When I puchase a new gun I look for several things. Reputable manufacturer, quality, potential use, and any accessorys such as holsters, extra magazines. etc.

Try many guns, get the one you can use.

Patch,  ill come up to my parents, grab one of our 45's, my 40, and a 9mm.  You buy some ammo, and you can shoot them all.

The 45 Is a Colt 1911, the 40 is a Springfield, and the 9mm is a smith.

And if you want to roll hard, ill bring the Taurus Raging Bull Judge, and you can shoot some 454 Casul rounds through it!  :smile16:

Thanks. It is the most consistent shooting pistol (up to 50 yards) that I have ever fired.  Sighted it in with 240 gr. PMC 44 mag shells and at 50 yards. was able to put 28 rounds into a hole that could be covered with a silver dollar. I was of course shooting off a sand bag but I was amazed at how accurate it was. After 50 yards the bullets will start to stray and you lose the consistency though. It is not a very good candidate for conceal carry either!!!  :grin:

I love shooting 44 and 41 mags.  IVe spent quite a bit of time shooting a Dan Wesson 41 mag, and love the gun!  We usually shoot open sights, 200 grain, and we shoot a steel barrel at about 90 yards.  The gun shoots so consistant, I can usually hit 6 of 6.  44 mag has a lot more umph, but the 41 does pretty darn good!  :smile28:
