Will I went out on our Lake ( Granbury ) today in the old Ski Nautique and the water is down about two feet . Boat ramp is still usable and had plenty of ramp to get the boat on and off the trailer ..
My dad and I just cruised around and found the sandbar that washed in a couple of years ago , so if you want to head up to Tin Top bridge and sandbar area , form the Hwy 51 bridge , you better have a very low profile boat and be able to lift the outdrive up..A jet boat might be able to be pushed over it . It is about 60 feet long .. The water at the new sandbar is only about 18 inches deep . The old Ski boat was stuck and was hitting the fins . had to get out and push it back off .. So beware if you go up river past 51 bridge and before you get to the old bridge pylons .. I would not take a V-Drive over it !!!!
Since I was bored out there and I had my GPS with me . I marked me off a nice 1/4 mile run. It just so happen that two of the river channel buoys are almost exactly a 1/4 apart . just add about a 100 feet and it would be a perfect 1/4 run .. So all I need now is to get the V-drive out and get it tuned in and go play .. I should have done that today . The water at my dad's place was perfect today with about 4-6 inch ripples .. perfect water for hauling a$$.. and no boat traffic out today up river ..
Still had fun getting on the water today . Dam it is hot out there
