I am looking for another block to build. I want a spare. The one on it I am still fighting with a warantee deal. I will know more tomorrow where I stand on that. I will either have a finished mota this weekend or pieces. After this weekend I will be on the fast track with the mota situation one way or the other. If push comes to shove I will go to Acadamy buy a trolling motor and come play with ya'll.

OK ALL YOU NA_SAYERSthere was fire in the hole with the Knotty Girl yesterday. I pulled the lower unit off again to take it to be blue printed by Steve Coleman. I was not picking up enough water. When I get it back I will be timing, breaking it in, then changing plugs, testing and tuning. Not getting cocky but I feel there is a good chance I will be running at Jet Fest. jump.gif

I spoke too soon :smile18:Lower unit is trash. After the rebuild it come apert again, case no good. Call a guy in Louisanna and he has one I can buy next week. Now getting Karol to go for it is a whole new story.

You could always ride with us at jetfest we are not bringing the kidos, but we are only going to be there sat. eather that are I could leave the speed boat and bring the fishing boat (Sea Pro) and haul everyone!! jump.gif might not make you fill so bad!!

I wish I could help with some words of encouragement or knowledge but, the only outboard that I worked on was an early sixties model 40 horse Johnson. I got rid of it because I was practically carrying enough spare parts on board to rebuild the damn thing on the water. Not to mention all the tools I was carrying around. I ended up getting rid of it and buying a brand new boat from Bass Pro. Problem solved!

If you keep throwing $100 bills at it, they'll eventually stick. Then, sell that sucker and use the money for a down payment on one of those 2.5 Mercs. lol. That'll show it who's boss! :wink:

I called a guy last night that has a lowerunit that is 6 hours away(just a little 12 hr. drive for one day) . I might go get it Friday if I can, he is suppose to go to some race so I am waiting for him to get back to me. Once I get it I still do not know how the mota will run. Steve Coleman is helping me now. I trust his record, he has proven himself building formula 1 motors. At this point no need in crying I just need to stay at it until I get it right, it's just money right?. Mike thanks for the offer. We will be at Jet Fest one way or the other (I have a blow up raft). If by chance I finish by then I will only be able to run it in break-in mode. I got my fingers crossed.
