Just talked to guy who said I just wasted a bunch of money and said I will be real disappointed in how fast my boat will run when finished, he said I will not reach 90mph. I cannot wait to wave at him when I am passing him. Then sticking the GPS in his face!

No not really. He is one of those smart a$$ outboard guys that know more than anybody. He has a real fast Mirage, I guess I am scaring him. He said my hull was too heavy and not fast enough. Funny yesterday me and my friend lifted it off the trailer and sat it on some tires so I could fix the trailer. I am close on the motor. I am waiting on some parts from Florida and should have it together next week or two.

OUCH! :smile20: Took my trailer to get fixed and budgeted $500 and the repairs are $800. Then I need to buy new tires and re-do the bunks. I guess that is ok cause I plan on hauling that thing all over Texas next year.

Yep, I'm doing the same thing. I just repainted the rims, and am putting on new tires. Also this weekend I am replacing and repacking all the wheel bearings.
It's good preventive maintenance to take care of this now so you're not stranded on the side of the highway later in the season.

The custom light weight cowl and skirt came in today. Will have the whole motor finished by this weekend. Transom next then rub rail. Trailer should be finished in a week and a half. Then finish cosmetic stuff. We are close boys and girls. hurry.gif

Man I just got poped again :smile13:I do not have a fuel pump that will handle my new power so there goes another $300. You do not realize all the little extras you get into on a repower. I will be $2000 over budget when this is all said and done. Sure hope it runs! whatever.gif
