I would assume it is 6061-T6 but very well could 3003,much easier to bend than 6061 but the 6061 has better corrosion resistance and added strength????

Kinda going to wrong way on the 2024? I would think it would have less duticilty but i know just enough about aluminum to get myself in trouble. Also i would lean more towards the mfg would use 3003 as it is way cheaper than 2024

6061T6 is too hard to make a sharp bend.  It will break.  I'll have to look up the radi calculations tomorrow at work.  We'll get to the bottom of this Henry.  I would hate to see you waste any money.  Boats are expensive enough.
